I’m using this “Thought of the Day” defining-frame as a way for me to look back at my older writings without getting overwhelmed by the pile of writings that has built over the last 20-plus years. I’m just looking back on what I wrote on this day, June 29, on different years, until I find something I wrote then that interests me now. Here’s today’s:
29 June 1995 (I was 21 years old):
I’m often piecing phrases together in my head–thinking about a story, a lede or conclusion phrase comes to me–or not even about a specific story. I’m thinking and phrases come to me, worked around in my rock-tumbler mind.
